11 Reasons Why I Love dA

HERP DERP I PROBABLY DID THIS WRONG but I don't care, I was inspired XD And it never hurts to try a contest, even when you probably won't win.

LOOK EXPLANATIONS YOU DON'T WANT

1- the LLAMAS
Some people hate them, I friggen love them. They don't hurt anyone after all, and I love the momentary excitement of rising a llama level~ SUPER ALBINO LLAMAS ANYONE?

2- the MEMES
Some people hate them, I friggen love them. Especially that Grab My meme. I don't see everyone's problem with them, or any meme really. I love the thought of a single idea or theme passed from artist to artist, who all leave their mark on it. Just look up 'Grab My', and it's one great big digital quilt!

3- the OCT's
They're hard work, but also fun, challenging, and you make a TON of friends. You should try one, if you think you can; don't be discouraged if you realize you just don't have the time, or lose early in the contest. There's no harm done! Just ask for a critique and use that advice for next time.

4- It helped me discover my passion for comics.
While we're on the subject of OCT's, dA and ~TheCityOfRoar-OCT really fueled my love for drawing comics. I had one before I entered any OCTs... but it was terrible. Really terrible.
I've learned and improved on so much since -- art AND storytelling -- and I hope all my improvement can shine its best in future projects.

5- the COMMUNITY THEME
Yes yes, we all know about the community.

6- But it's more than a community -- it's a world. A world of artists.
This is how I truly see dA. A world full of my own kind, as if we were a whole species on our own. In the real world, I often don't realize not everyone is an artist. Which is sad, because there are like, no artists where I'm from XD
At least, artists like the ones on dA.

7- I met my favorite artists here.
*LukeIatsune, *TomPreston, ~Half-dude, *vert-is-ninja... All these guys I met right here.

8- I MET MY BEST FRIENDS HERE.
~MissAlienFetishist, ~kakashicoke, ~Frey-ofthe-Arcane, ~EdgeGurl77, and ~emberwing77 are just a fraction of the great friends I have here. I love them ALL~ The ones listed aren't listed because of rank in the least <3

9- the SWEET GEAR.
Gotta love the cool shirts and gear they sell here~ I have a shirt with a scary clown on it, and I luff it very much, even if it did come a size too small C:

10- IT MADE ME GROW UP.
One of the most important things on this list. Do you have any idea who I was three years ago? You want to know a comment I made once on a DD? 'lol his dick is small'. Yeah, that was me.
But deviantART really kicked me in the balls and told me you just don't do that.

11- dA TAUGHT ME HOW TO MAKE THIS EPIC LIST~!
THIS IS OBVIOUSLY ABOUT IMPROVEMENT which I'm sure is on everyone's list out there. But it's important, so it belongs on everyone's list out there.
All the drawing, editing, manipulating, and texture use, I learned it all from dA users and their tutorials.
And see all those Fellas there? They're an accurate timeline of my artistic progression and improvement, starting with that ugly ball of whatever, ending with epic Ninja!Fella. I even tried to use the same types of pens I used way back when (all except for Giant!Fella -- back when I drew things really large and thick like that, I used a ball point pen entirely.).
So yeah, thank you for that dA, and happy birthday!
